A hat-trick from Mo Salah in a 4-0 win at Bournemouth took Liverpool to the top of the Premier League and ensured they are the only team still unbeaten after title favourites Manchester City fell at Chelsea.

The Reds have a one-point lead over City following their victory at Dean Court while goals either side of half-time from N'Golo Kante and David Luiz were enough to see off the champions at Stamford Bridge.

City are 4-11 with Hills to retain their crown after their first domestic setback of the campaign while Jurgen Klopp's side are 5-2 to win their first title since 1990.

The victory was enough to take Chelsea to third in the table but they remain eight points behind the Reds. They are 50-1 to be crowned champions.

They are level on points with Arsenal, who needed a late Lucas Torreira goal to see off Huddersfield at the Emirates.

The Terriers sank back into the bottom three following that disappointment but they are a point ahead of Southampton, who could not provide new manager Ralph Hasenhuttl with a perfect start.

The Saints lost 1-0 at Cardiff, who are four points above the drop zone, and Neil Warnock's side are 11-10 to stay up after Callum Paterson's goal proved decisive.

Fulham are bottom of the table after they suffered a 4-1 defeat at Manchester United and Claudio Ranieri's Cottagers are 11-10 to dig themselves out of trouble.

Burnley helped their cause with a 1-0 home win over Brighton while West Ham moved into the top half of the table after coming from behind to beat Crystal Palace.

Norwich kept their place at the top of the Sky Bet Championship after Teemu Pukki scored a late winner against Bolton at Carrow Road, while second-placed Leeds claimed a 2-1 win over QPR.

Best relegation odds: 8-15 Huddersfield, 8-13 Burnley, 8-11 Cardiff, 5-6 Fulham, 2 Southampton, 4 Newcastle, 13-2 Crystal Palace
