Chelsea have finally signed their man after the Blues completed a deal to sign Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus on loan until the end of the season to give boss Maurizio Sarri the striker he has craved since arriving at Stamford Bridge last summer.

Higuain broke the Serie A goalscoring record in his only season playing for a previous Sarri side, notching 36 goals in 35 league matches for Napoli in the 2015-16 season, but bookmakers are anticipating a tougher time for the 31-year-old in England.

Expert opinion: How good is Gonzalo Higuain?

The Argentinian striker will have a maximum of 15 top-flight matches to get his eye in and bet365 offer 10-1 about the former Real Madrid man reaching double figures in the Premier League.

Betway make him 7-4 to eclipse Alvaro Morata's tally of five Premier League goals this season and 4-1 to score a league hat-trick.

Higuain was not registered in time to make his debut in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham on Thursday, so instead could make his Blues debut at home to Sky Bet Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Chelsea are 1-2 for a top-four Premier League finish this season and Sarri said of Higuain: "He is a very strong striker, especially in my first season in Naples. He is one of the best strikers in my career and has the right experience to play here."
