Fearless teenager Potapova value to land first WTA title
Moscow crowd bound to boost home hope against Danilovic
WTA Moscow River Cup final
BT Sport ESPN, 11am Sunday
Two 17-year-olds do battle in the WTA Moscow River Cup final but home advantage could count in the favour of Russian hope Anastasia Potapova as she bids to seal the biggest victory of her career.
Potapova takes on Olga Danilovic, who posted a hugely impressive result to beat Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the semi-finals, but the Serbian may have find it tough to tame her fearless peer.
The rising Russian won the Wimbledon girls' singles title in 2016 and also reached at least the quarter-finals in all the junior Grand Slams that year while Danilovic did not enjoy such a stellar junior career.
That doesn't always transmit to success at the top table, but Potapova is going about things the right way and has already made the final of two valuable ITF events this season.
There looks to be little between the teenagers and the value could be in siding with the home hope with a partisan Russian crowd in her corner.
In the WTA Jiangxi Open final, bookmakers expect Qiang Wang to get the better of Saisai Zheng in an all-Chinese clash.
