Manchester City are red-hot favourites to complete a domestic treble by beating Watford in the FA Cup final at Wembley but how can punters support the Citizens and still get a value bet? Here we look at three ways to back them...

Manchester City to win both halves 11-8

Central to City's domestic dominance has been their reputation as strong starters and punters may want to look at Pep Guardiola's men to win both halves of the FA Cup final.

They have done so in only two of their five matches in the competition but they have won both halves in 18 of their 32 Premier League triumphs.

The Citizens were adept at winning matches in this way in the infancy of the 2018-19 season but they won both halves in only two of their final ten league games, suggesting fatigue and fixture congestion caused them to grind wins out rather than blow teams apart.

But this is a match in isolation and they have had plenty of time to celebrate and recover following their Premier League heroics and it is a tempting price at 11-8 with Betway.

Raheem Sterling to score first 4-1

Gabriel Jesus has impressed in the central striker role in this term's FA Cup, leading City's scoring charts in the competition with three goals, but Pep Guardiola may be tempted to start with in-form Sergio Aguero.

The lack of clarity surrounding who will lead the line means punters may wish to look elsewhere in the first-goalscorer market.

Raheem Sterling has scored in three of his last four matches against Watford and he drew first blood in two of those games.

Manchester City to win 3-1 10-1

From spanking Maurizio Sarri's sorry Chelsea 6-0 to annihilating Burton 9-0 in the League Cup, City have chalked up their fair share of thrashings this campaign.

But such eye-watering scorelines have been in the minority. In the Premier League this season, City's most frequent winning scoreline was 3-1 (seven matches) closely followed by 1-0 (six).

Their league game against FA Cup final opponents Watford in March finished 3-1 in favour of Guardiola's men and the Hornets also notched in defeat to City at Vicarage Road in December.

Backing a repeat of that 3-1 scoreline against the Hertfordshire club at Wembley could be another shrewd approach.
