Vancouver ended a run of four consecutive score draws with their 2-1 win away to Colorado Rapids last week and they can contribute to another high-scoring affair when they host Orlando City.

The Whitecaps’ last five matches have featured a total of 21 goals, including three 2-2 draws, and coach Carl Robinson has admitted that, although his side are playing exciting football, they have been vulnerable at the back.

Orlando City head into the match following four successive defeats in Major League Soccer, losing 3-0 to highflying New York City most recently, but that was just the second game this season in which they failed to score.

The chance of goals is bolstered by the fact that Orlando are likely to once again be without key defender Lamine Sane through injury.

Both sides favour attacking set-ups, with the visitors tending to deploy a five-man midfield led by Sacha Kljestan, who has two goals and four assists this term, and Vancouver opting for two up front in a variety of formations.

Whitecaps marksman Cristian Techera propelled himself up the goalscoring ranks last month, with five of his six goals for the league season coming in May, and the Uruguayan can contribute to another attacking feast for Vancouver.
