England odds-on for first Test against India despite Kohli heroics
India skipper registers Test century for first time on English soil
Sky Sports Cricket, 11am Friday
Virat Kohli salvaged India's hopes against England on day two of the first Test at Edgbaston with a sensational 149 to keep his side in contention for the first game of the five-match series.
Despite Kohli's first ever Test century in England, India were bowled out for 274 with England extending their lead to 22 runs in their second innings before losing Alastair Cook for a duck with the final ball of the day.
The hosts are 8-11 with Hills for the first Test after day two, with India quoted at 5-4 with the same firm.
India started the day 13-10 to go 1-0 up in the series but England were as short as 1-4 in-play following a strong bowling performance.
Sam Curran impressed with the ball earlier in the day, tearing through India's top-order batsmen with figures of 4-74.
India had put on 50 without loss before opening pair Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan were dislodged by Curran, with Lokesh Rahul dismissed cheaply. Kohli was dropped twice on his way to his best score on English soil.
England will resume on 9-1 on day three with Keaton Jennings and Joe Root at the crease.
