Eurosport, 8am & midnight

Fernando Verdasco had started the season in positive mood and the Spaniard was expected by some to provide a stern test for Djokovic. But the world number two made light work of the Madrileno, winning 6-1 7-6 6-2.

Djokovic said: “From one perspective it was good that I had a tough opener. It made me approach the tournament with the right intensity from the first point.”

Hills go 6-4 that Djokovic and Murray again contest the men’s final, while Serena Williams was trimmed to 11-4 to regain the women’s singles title after ousting Belinda Bencic 6-4 6-3.
