Gerwyn Price, the last seed standing in the top half of the BoyleSports World Grand Prix field, couldn't have had it much easier in round one, and his sizzling form should be too hot for Joe Cullen.

Top seed Price dropped just one leg in a 2-0 demolition of Martin Schindler on Tuesday night.

In round two it's best-of-five sets which means The Iceman will be on stage longer against Cullen – though the outcome still ought to be the same.

These two have met three times over the summer with Price winning all three and he looks on a different planet to pretty much everybody else at the moment.

The Welshman is around the 1-2 mark which is hard to dispute. The price that could be contested, however, is the 6-4 he lands more maximums than Cullen, which looks a value bet.

Price hit only one maximum against Schindler but played only seven legs and didn't have to break sweat. Cullen hit two in his 12-leg affair with Damon Heta.

Cullen is a big 180 hitter but he's also a rhythm player so the double-in format doesn't suit him; he'd suffered four first-round exits in his previous six tilts at this event.

Price out-maxed Cullen 7-6 when they last met in the World Series and averages a 180 every 3.1 legs on the Pro Tour this year, Cullen one every 3.4 legs.
