Preview

There's a double session of darting action for punters to get stuck into at the William Hill World Championship on Tuesday and there looks to be a trio of tasty wagers.

Ryan Searle and Robbie King kick off the afternoon combat and the prices look pretty much spot on for that clash. However, there could be some value in the Cristo Reyes v Lourence Ilagan match, which follows.

Reyes has enjoyed some memorable wins on the Alexandra Palace stage, most notably when bursting onto the scene by beating Wes Newton and Kevin Painter in 2015.

The Spartan also put up a decent showing against Michael van Gerwen in 2016, but a pretty poor season has seen the Spaniard tumble down the rankings and he could be put to the test by Ilagan.

The Gunner is one of the strongest international qualifiers and the Manila man has the scoring power to cause problems for Reyes.

Ilagan's Asian Tour maximum numbers certainly indicate that he could prove to be more than a match for Reyes on that front and the 7-5 about him hitting the most 180s looks a big price.

Noel Malicdem is another decent international qualifier, having finished second to Ilagan on the Asian Tour, and he could out-score Rowby-John Rodriguez.

Malicdem made his debut last year and showed he can cause problems by beating Jeffrey de Graaf and performing well against Kyle Anderson.

Rodriguez can sometimes struggle to produce his best on the TV stage and he has little in hand when it comes to 180 stats.

Betfair's offer of 6-5 about the Gentle Giant hitting the most maximums is too big a price to turn down.

BDO women's world champion Mikuru Suzuki played a starring role on Sunday when giving James Richardson a real scare and while Fallon Sherrock faces a tough task against Ted Evetts she looks worth backing to at least win a set.

Sherrock is capable of short bursts of brilliance and averages in the high-90s and if she can get anywhere near those numbers this format could allow her to get a set on the board.

Super Ted is a strong and promising performer but there's a huge amount of pressure on him.

Evetts started strongly on the TV stage against Gerwyn Price in the recent European Championship, but rather fell apart when the Iceman turned up the heat, so it remains to be seen how he will deal with the occasion.
