Premier League Darts Finals Night predictions

The Premier League regular season is over with four players left standing and if you believe the prices, one of them may as well not show up at London's O2 for Finals Night.

Luke Littler, favourite from the off, is odds-on to retain the trophy and world number one Luke Humphries is expected to face him in the final according to the prices.

Since the two Lukes have met in five of the 16 Thursday night finals that have got us to this point and left the rest of the field for dead, there's a logic to the odds.

Due to their dominance bookmakers are more than happy to take on their semi-final opponents in the capital, third and fourth-place finishers Nathan Aspinall and Gerwyn Price.

However, as classy as Littler and Humphries are, odds of 16-1 that major winner Aspinall can win two games of darts on any given night looks just too big to ignore.

Aspinall has been rock-solid as the campaign has developed, winning two of the last seven Thursday night mini leagues and beating Michael van Gerwen in Sheffield last week to end the Dutchman's hopes of going through.

The Asp thrives on pressure, is a winner in 2025 of the European Darts Trophy to go with a couple of other final appearances and he has a decent record against Humphries, his semi-final opponent.

The final is the best of 21 legs and follows straight on from the best-of-19 semis, the first of which pits Littler against Price.

They have met four times during the league campaign with two wins apiece and The Iceman has also downed The Nuke in a Players Championship heat and at the Bahrain Masters.

Price is playing well - he has hit two nine-darters in the competition - and could beat the youngster. At the very least he can run him close, so take the outsider with a 2.5-leg start on the handicap.

They are followed on stage by Humphries and Aspinall, whose average looks to be going short at 96.5. Cool Hand brings out the best in most of his opponents, so don't expect many scrappy legs.

The last time they met - a win for Humphries on Night 12 in Liverpool - Aspinall averaged more than 104 and if he gets into a rhythm he can get to a ton-plus average.
