Raymond van Barneveld will be eyeing Dublin's double-in World Grand Prix prize but he could face stiff resistance when he clashes with John Henderson in the quarter-finals.

It's hard to argue with the Dutchman's victories in the first two rounds. A 2-0 win over Kyle Anderson was followed by a 3-0 stroll against Steve Beaton but scratch slightly beneath the surface and perhaps those performances were not as impressive as the results suggest.

Beaton didn't show up in the second round and an average of just 85 and a finishing double percentage of 34 was enough for Barney to claim the win.

The Dutchman hit just nine of 26 attempts at the outer ring and that shows a fragility in his finishing as well as highlighting how little resistance the Adonis put up.

It's unlikely that Van Barneveld will get such an easy ride against Henderson. Big John's 50 per cent finishing doubles saw him though against Michael van Gerwen and he put in another solid 43 per cent against Alan Norris last time.

Barney was tipped at 10-1 to win the first quarter at the outset, but Henderson should be brimming with confidence - a valuable asset for a rhythmic player - and at 7-2 he looks worth a small interest for the upset.

Daryl Gurney tackles Robert Thornton in the other quarter-final but it looks hard to find an attractive bet in that contest.
