What is the PDC Home Tour?

The PDC announced a new event to keep sport rolling during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Home Tour event starts on Friday, April 17 and will be streamed on bookmaker websites and features a host of big names.

Each session starts at 7.30 and will see four stars do battle in nightly round-robin groups which are played over the best-of-nine legs. The 32 group winners will progress through to the next phase.

Saturday's PDC Home Tour Group 23 preview

Kyle Anderson spent much of the last month battling coronavirus but the Aussie ace has been given the all-clear and makes his return to the oche to contest Group 23 of the PDC Home Tour.

Anderson, who spent four weeks in isolation away from his wife and children, is joined in the section by Dirk van Duijvenbode, Martin Schindler and Daniel Larsson.

Perth chucker Anderson reached the last four of the 2017 European Championship and won the Auckland Masters that same year but his 2020 form is short of that level.

Anderson, who will have to play through the night due to the time difference in Australia, has presumably not been concentrating on darts in recent weeks and it's worth taking him on with Van Duijvenbode.

The Dutch dartist reached the semi-finals of the Belgian Championship in March, beating Nathan Apsinall and Ian White on the way, and has plenty of ability.

Talented Schindler is also worth putting on the betting list to defeat Swedish thrower Larsson with something to spare.

The young German reached the finals of two Development Tour events in February and March while Larsson has achieved little outside of Scandinavia.
