What is the PDC Home Tour?
The PDC announced a new event to keep sport rolling during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Home Tour event starts on Friday April 17 and will be streamed on bookmaker websites and features a host of big names.
Each session starts at 7.30 and will see four stars do battle in nightly round-robin groups which are played over the best-of-nine legs. The 32 group winners will progress through to the next phase.
Saturday's PDC Home Tour Group 16 preview
Ricky Evans is the favourite to progress from Group 16 of the PDC Home Tour but it would come as no surprise if he was to crash out like so many of the previous nightly market leaders.
Evans, a European Championship quarter-finalist last year, lines up alongside Jeff Smith, Christian Bunse and Martin Atkins.
He is ranked 29th in the PDC and was in decent form before sport was stalled by the coronavirus pandemic, winning five of his last seven matches and only going down by a 6-5 scoreline against Dave Chisnall and Michael Smith.
But most of Rapid Ricky's 2020 wins have come against lesser players and Canadian ace Smith could be the man to back on the evidence of his early-season form.
Former BDO World Championship finalist Smith sealed a PDC return at Q-School in January and immediately made the final of a Players Championship event in Barnsley.
He beat Chisnall, Nathan Aspinall and Peter Wright before losing to Gary Anderson, and also scored a win over Daryl Gurney the following day
Results have been mixed since but the Silencer has the ability to quieten his group opponents.
Bunse, meanwhile, is likely to find the top two in the market too strong but the German has beaten Michael van Gerwen this year and should account for Martin Atkins.
