Free darts tips, best bets and analysis for Wednesday's PDC Home Tour Group Six

What is the PDC Home Tour?

The PDC announced a new event to keep sport rolling during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Home Tour event starts on Friday April 17 and will be streamed on bookmaker websites and features a host of big names.

Each session starts at 7.30 and will see four stars do battle in nightly round-robin groups which are played over the best-of-nine legs. The 32 group winners will progress through to the next phase.

The Machine fires into operation as James Wade becomes the latest star off the PDC's factory line to try their hand on the Home Tour.

World number eight Wade is a multiple PDC major winner and has been in fantastic form in Players' Championship floor events this year.

Wade was a semi-finalist and finalist in the two most recent events in that Pro Tour tournament and reached the last 16 of the UK Open where he was beaten by eventual champion Michael van Gerwen.

The Machine has lost only two of the 14 matches he has played against his Group Six opponents - Ryan Searle, Andy Boulton and Adrian Gray - which augurs well for favourite backers tonight.

Searle should provide Wade with his sternest test. Heavy Metal beat PDC heavyweights Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith, Glen Durrant and Van Gerwen to win a Players' Championship event in Wigan in February and is a player going places fast.

He could take Wade all the way in their contest at 9pm but the Machine has been firing on all cylinders recently and can take top billing.
