Free darts tips, best bets and analysis for Wednesday's PDC Home Tour semi-finals.

What is the PDC Home Tour?

The PDC announced a new event to keep sport rolling during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Home Tour event has now reached the semi-final stage and will be streamed on bookmaker websites.

Each session starts at 7.30pm and will see four stars do battle in round-robin groups which are played over the best-of-11 legs.

The semi-finals will consist of two groups of four with the top two from each making up a four-man Championship group to determine the overall competition winner on Friday June 5.

Thursday's PDC Home Tour semi-final Group B preview

There is great depth to the PDC Home Tour’s second semi-final with all four players housed inside the world’s top 16, but it could be the lowest ranked of the classy quartet - Joe Cullen - who prevails as group winner.

Former UK Open champion Nathan Aspinall, 2018 world champion Rob Cross and world number 15 Jonny Clayton complete the foursome but they could all struggle to live with The Rockstar who appears to be operating at the top of his game.

Cullen was given a second roll of the dice after finishing runner-up to Ryan Murray in Group 20 but produced the performance of the competition when topping Group 31, winning all three matches, in a field featuring Gerwyn Price, with an average of 106.65.

The Bradford boy bossed his playoff section too, claiming wins over Jeff Smith, Chris Dobey and Martijn Kleermaker.

It has been a case of the better the opposition, the better Cullen has performed.

The weak link of the four could be Cross, whose tournament averages are way below what he is capable of.

Voltage won his opening group with an average of just 82.08 and progressed from the playoffs on leg difference, having averaged 83.17.

Aspinall and Clayton have each won all six of their Home Tour matches and could fight it out for the second qualification spot.
