Vincent van der Voort v Chris Dobey

Head-to-head: Van der Voort leads 1-0

We've got a real cracker to kick off the last day of darting action before Christmas with bookies struggling to split Vincent van der Voort and Chris Dobey.

Dobey, who took a set off Phil Taylor in his first-round exit last year at Alexandra Palace, arrived in decent form having reached the quarter-finals of the Players Championship Finals, where he lost to champion Daryl Gurney with a 95+ average.

The Englishman has impressed in 3-0 wins over Boris Koltsov and Steve Beaton and is worth supporting against veteran Van Der Voort, who was given a scare in the first round by Lourence Ilagan.

Recommendation
C Dobey

Brendan Dolan v Mervyn King

Head-to-head: Dolan leads 6-4

Brendan Dolan arrived at the Worlds in questionable form but he got a confidence boost by thrashing Yuanjun Liu in the first round before upsetting the odds against Joe Cullen.

The History Maker looks a backable outsider against fiery Mervyn King, who somehow dropped two sets against Jan Dekker on Thursday, despite completely dominating the stats.

James Wade v Keegan Brown

Head-to-head: tied at 4-4

Keegan Brown has not had to be at his best to see off the tame challenges of Karel Sedlacek and Jelle Klaasen and he could cause problems for James Wade.

Wade was knocked out in the first round by Brown last year and it's hard to know where his head is at after a charged encounter with Seigo Asada on Wednesday.

Recommendation
K Brown +2.5 sets

Adrian Lewis v Darius Labanauskas

Head-to-head: no meetings

Darius Labanauskas is unlikely to get a warm reception after knocking out fan favourite Raymond van Barneveld on the Dutchman's Ally Pally swansong.

Two-time champion Adrian Lewis is a little flattered by the 3-0 scoreline of his defeat of Ted Evetts in the last round. But it was a high-quality encounter and a repeat of that form should see Jackpot safely through.

Nathan Aspinall v Kyle Anderson

Head-to-head: Anderson leads 3-1

Nathan Aspinall took advantage when Gerwyn Price's scoring deserted him on Friday, coming back from 2-0 down to eliminate the Grand Slam champion 3-2.

The Asp is rated outsider to see off Kyle Anderson, who has won three of their four floor meetings.

The South African is no stranger to the Ally Pally stage, where he hit a nine-darter in 2013, although he's never made it past the second round.

There was a lot to like about his 3-1 defeat of Noel Malicdem in the last round and Anderson is worth a bet giving up a set-and-a-half start.

Recommendation
K Anderson -1.5 sets
1pt 11-10 BetBright, Betfred

Rob Cross v Cristo Reyes

Head-to-head: tied 2-2

Defending champion Rob Cross is a warm order to avenge a 6-1 thumping at the hands of Cristo Reyes at last month's Players Championship Finals.

Cross turned on the style after being swept aside in the first set of his opening match with an impressive Jeffrey de Zwaan.

Too much has probably been made of Cross's lack of form this year and he could be a bit of value in the outright market if he carries on where he left off against De Zwaan.

However, Reyes has won two of their three meetings this year and despite not really impressing in his 3-2 win over Rowby-John Rodriguez last time, the value could be to back the Spaniard getting 2.5 sets on the handicap.

Recommendation
C Reyes +2.5 sets
