The Beard to be Feared survived a close shave against Joe Cullen in round one of the Grand Prix and the Aussie arrers ace can follow up by chinning Alan ‘Chuck’ Norris in round two.

Simon Whitlock reeled off five legs in a row after losing the first set against Cullen and the 2008 world finalist looks in decent nick.

Victory at the weekend – his first tour triumph in two years – followed a nine-darter a week earlier, and he should be confident after returning to winning ways on the big stage.
