Northern Superchargers Men have endured a difficult start to the inaugural edition of The Hundred and their cause is not helped by the unavailability of players for their next match against Oval Invincibles.

After a five-run loss to Welsh Fire and a two-wicket defeat to highflying Trent Rockets, the Superchargers men's team saw Wednesday's match with Manchester Originals abandoned, meaning they are yet to record a win.

The absence of captain Faf du Plessis, who is suffering from concussion-like symptoms, has not helped and stand-in skipper Ben Stokes is now taking an indefinite break from cricket.

David Willey has taken on the temporary captaincy but the Superchargers may not have to look too far for a runscorer.

Harry Brook was superb in this year's Twenty20 Blast, firing 485 runs across 12 innings and that firepower has translated to his first two performances in The Hundred.

Although his team lost, Brook top-scored for his side with 62 against Fire before 38 against the Rockets and he looks a decent bet to surpass his runs line of 20.5 with Coral and Ladbrokes against the Invincibles.

While the men's team have faltered, Northern Superchargers Women have won two of their first three matches with Jemimah Rodrigues looking particularly impressive with a total of 152 runs.

But Oval Invincibles Women, who possess big-hitter Dane van Niekerk, are also unbeaten in The Hundred and the best bet could be to back over 253.5 match runs at 5-6 with bet365.

Of the four games the two teams have played this season, three have seen at least 254 runs and another high-scoring game could unfold at Headingley.
