Kent v Somerset
Sky Sports Cricket, 2pm Tuesday

Kent sealed a one-run win over One-Day Cup favourites Hampshire on Sunday but the Spitfires are slight outsiders for their South Group clash with Somerset at Canterbury.

Paceman Matt Henry conceded just two runs from the final over to seal the points against Hampshire and the New Zealand man will have to be at his best against a dangerous Somerset batting unit.

Their first five games have included handsome victories over Surrey, Glamorgan and Middlesex, who were beaten by 53 runs on Sunday, and middle-order man James Hildreth has been in superb touch this summer.

Hildreth, arguably the best county batsman of his generation not to have earned an England cap, scored 184 against Hampshire in his last County Championship game before continuing that fine form in the 50-over competition.

His first five One-Day Cup outings have yielded scores of 35 not out, 159, 87, 24 and 30 (when he was brilliantly run out by Middlesex’s Nathan Sowter at Taunton on Sunday). He looks a decent price to top-score for the visitors.

Jason Roy’s quickfire 86 helped Surrey see off Essex at Chelmsford on Sunday and they are 8-11 for a home win over Sussex.

Worcestershire are the shortest-priced favourites on the coupon when they host Leicestershire and an entertaining contest is in store at New Road.

The home side recovered from 93-6 to chase down 255 against Lancashire on Sunday and the only blot on their record was an unfortunate Duckworth-Lewis method defeat at Durham.

With internationals Moeen Ali and Travis Head in the side and big hitters all the way down the order, Worcestershire should take a positive approach against a Leicestershire side who have lost three of their four games.

The six tallies in those four matches have been four, 18, eight and eight, and over 7.5 maximums is worth an interest at 5-6.
