Yadav looks set to shine for heavy favourites India
Sri Lanka shape like a side in transition
First ODI

If the recent Test matches are anything to go by, India’s five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka will be extremely one-sided.
Virat Kohli’s men romped to a 3-0 victory in the five-day contests, completing two innings victories and another by 304 runs, the last of which was over inside three days.
Bookmakers expect them to have few troubles in their pursuit of doubling up in the 50-over contests. A 5-0 whitewash is just 21-10, with a 4-1 victory bet365’s 13-8 favourite in their series correct score market.
Sri Lanka are certainly a side in transition at present.
Angelo Mathews has given up the one-day captaincy with Upul Thranga taking over, and their batsmen have struggled for consistency for some time now.
A settled top five is counteracted with a lower-order in a constant state of flux which must be a worry against an Indian side full of confidence.
Young left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav was a thorn in the side of the Lankan batsmen in the third and final Test last week, taking 4-40 and 1-56 in Pallekele.
The 22-year-old is likely to get a prolonged run in the side for the one-day contests and could cause the hosts plenty more problems. He looks a nice price to lead the visitors’ wicket-taking charts over the five matches.
