Sky Sports Cricket, 2.30pm Sunday

New Road, Worcester

Worcestershire have made a solid start to the defence of their T20 Blast title although they suffered a surprise home defeat to Leicestershire in their last North Group outing.

Despite being bowled out for 119 last time out, the Rapids are hot favourites to see off Northamptonshire and Hills rate Martin Guptill, Moeen Ali, Riki Wessels and Callum Ferguson as 7-2 co-favourites to top-score for the hosts.

That is a good indication of Worcestershire's batting strength and they also have Ben Cox, star of last season's Finals Day, and big hitters Ross Whiteley and Wayne Parnell lurking further down the order.

It is worth backing them to hit more sixes than Northants – even in the defeat to Leicestershire they won the maximums battle 4-3 – as Steelbacks skipper Josh Cobb is the only visiting batsman to have hit more than three sixes in this season's Blast.

Recommendation
Worcestershire to hit more sixes

Sunday's other T20 Blast matches

Any Twenty20 team in the world would miss South Africa star AB de Villiers and Middlesex, without AB and England captain Eoin Morgan, slipped to a four-wicket defeat at Sussex on Friday.

They face a dangerous Gloucestershire side who comfortably won a rain-affected game against Surrey at The Oval and are an appealing bet at 6-4.

De Villiers is set to return for the last two league games if Middlesex are in the hunt for a quarter-final place but in his absence they may struggle against a canny Gloucestershire bowling attack featuring Australian knuckleball ace Andrew Tye and slower-ball maestro Benny Howell.

Glamorgan remain winless at the bottom of the South Group but there is little incentive to oppose them at Sophia Gardens with 4-7 visitors Surrey, who have won only one of their eight Blast games.

Recommendation
Gloucestershire
