Northamptonshire inflicted the heaviest defeat on Warwickshire in the Bears' 56 years of playing one-day cricket and the Steelbacks could be a spot of value to build on that performance at Lancashire.

Led by a virtuoso all-round performance from West Indies captain Jason Holder, who hit a quickfire 60 and took three wickets, Northants pummelled the Bears by 194 runs.

Holder's half-century was one of four scored by a Steelbacks player and that strength in depth will serve them well at Old Trafford.

Lancashire recorded a dramatic one-run win off the final ball against arch rivals Yorkshire on Sunday but have conceded totals of 310 (v Yorkshire), 417 (Notts) and 367 (Worcestershire) in their matches.
