Match preview

Heads have rolled after a dismal Ashes defeat in Australia for the England men's Test team but there has been more positive news from the Under-19 World Cup, where England face India in Saturday's 50-over final in Antigua.

The England youngsters came through a tense semi-final against Afghanistan and are 2-1 to upset 4-9 powerhouses India, who have now reached four consecutive Under-19 World Cup finals.

England opener Jacob Bethell and skipper Tom Prest, who bats at number three, have played some eye-catching innings at this tournament but India's bowlers reduced Australia to 125-7 on their way to a thumping semi-final win.

If India take early wickets again then England number five William Luxton could show his quality, having reached 40 in three of his last four innings including an unbeaten 47 in the quarter-final win over South Africa.

That game took place in North Sound, venue for the final, and Yorkshire youngster Luxton's most recent knock for England before this tournament was 84 out of 214-8 in a win in Sri Lanka last month.

Australia Women retained the Ashes thanks to their victory over England in the first ODI and they are 3-10 to beat the 5-2 tourists in the second one-dayer in Melbourne.

England captain Heather Knight, who scored 168 not out and 48 in the drawn Test match in Canberra, is 11-4 with bet365 to top-score for her team.

Star Sports make former India and South Africa coach Gary Kirsten 3-1 favourite to be England's next permanent Test coach after Chris Silverwood was sacked on Thursday.

Ex-England players Alec Stewart (7-2) and Paul Collingwood (6-1) are next in the betting while Australian legends Jason Gillespie and Ricky Ponting are 8-1 and 10-1 respectively to take the job.
