Trent Rockets v Welsh Fire preview

Trent Rockets Men had the chance to secure a playoff berth against Southern Brave last time out but fluffed their lines at the Rose Bowl.

The table-topping Rockets lost by six wickets on Thursday but they are still in the driving seat for a top-three berth and have a great chance to bounce back against the hapless Welsh Fire, who have lost all of their seven matches.

Monday's contest is the Fire's last chance to get off the mark in 2022 but one small positive from a deeply disappointing campaign has been the form of Ben Duckett, who has scored 195 runs for the Cardiff-based franchise this season.

Their next highest runscorer is Leus Du Plooy with only 88 runs and Duckett looks a touch of value at 15-4 to once again lead the way for his side.

Welsh Fire can also no longer make the top three in the Women's Hundred, although they did pick up their first win of the campaign against Northern Superchargers last time out.

It is a case of too little too late for Tammy Beaumont's side, though, and they are unlikely to have much luck against the fourth-placed Rockets.

Nat Sciver has been integral for the hosts this season, scoring 151 runs in four innings, and she is worth a bet to surpass her runs line of 22.5 with Coral and Ladbrokes.
