Trent Rockets Men are heading for the playoffs in The Hundred and they are aiming to finish their league campaign with a home win over Birmingham Phoenix.

The Rockets have won all three of this season's matches at Trent Bridge and opener Joe Root is in fine form after scores of 76 and 64 not out in his last two innings. 

The Phoenix cannot finish in the top three but their batsman Joe Clarke is worth backing to top-score at his home ground. The Nottinghamshire man has reached 20 in six of his seven innings in The Hundred and he looked in terrific touch on Sunday, thumping 40 off 21 balls against Manchester Originals on a tricky Old Trafford pitch.

Neither the Rockets nor the Phoenix can make the playoffs in the women's tournament but there will still be some top-class players on show.

Rockets captain Ash Gardner, a key part of Australia's plans for their T20 World Cup title defence, is an eye-catching price to be named player of the match.

She won the award in Sunday's win over Welsh Fire, scoring 36 and taking 2-28, and dismissed Oval Invincibles superstars Meg Lanning and Marizanne Kapp in her previous outing.

Gardner played one of the innings of the season at Trent Bridge against Northern Superchargers, hitting ten boundaries in a 32-ball 61, and she can sign off her Rockets stint with another inspirational performance in Nottingham.
