Seasoned Benneteau to silence Smith
Julien Benneteau is back playing at a decent level after an injury-hit 2015 season and the seasoned Frenchman looks value to see off John-Patrick Smith in the Atlanta Open tonight.
Benneteau has a history of posting solid displays in the USA and at a shade of odds-on, he could be a good price to progress to the last 16 of this week’s only ATP main-tour event.
Benneteau has never won a title at this level after years of trying and going close. It would be brilliant if he could cross the line once before he hangs up his shoes, but he remains adept at winning early-round matches and has played well in recent months.
