Milos Raonic has not been turning many heads this season and the Canadian could find himself embroiled in a tough match against improving Jared Donaldson in the third round of the Miami Open.

It may be asking a bit much of the American to upset the odds against Raonic, but he’s a decent server like his opponent and it could pay to back the outsider with a start of 4.5 games on the handicap.

Donaldson is 2-1 to win at least a set, which can be considered, but the games-handicap option is preferred. Raonic would need to win by at least a five-game margin for the bet to lose and that may be difficult to achieve.

Fabio Fognini could be value to outclass Jeremy Chardy after seeing off Joao Sousa, but the Italian is not always the most reliable of punting options.

In the women’s singles at Crandon Park, Pauline Parmentier is playing so well that the Frenchwoman could make life tough for Johanna Konta, but it’s possible that the Briton could step up her standard in the near future.

Bookmakers expect Anett Kontaveit to pose problems for Simona Halep, but the Romanian won her opening match tidily and could see interest at 4-7.

Shuai Peng is playing well but the experienced Chinese looks plenty short enough for her clash with 2011 US Open heroine Sam Stosur.

The Australian retains plenty of ability and it would not be a surprise to see her find more for a clash such as this. Stosur is 4-6 to win at least a set and that can be considered.
