It’s difficult not to have been impressed by the application of Ivo Karlovic this season and the Croat could enjoy more success in the Mexican Open, which has moved to a new home at Los Cabos on the southern tip of the Baja peninsula this year.

Feliciano Lopez tops the list of some of those players who have not travelled to the Rio Olympics, but the Spaniard went all the way in Gstaad recently and this may come to soon for the world number 19, who is not exactly a title-winning machine.

Second seed Bernard Tomic is obviously capable of shining in this class, but the Australian seems to be back going through the motions again after a pretty good effort at Wimbledon.
