Big-serving Canadian could be a tasty bet
Andy Murray suffered his first defeat as world number one against David Goffin in Friday’s Mubadala World Tennis Championship semi-final and the Briton could end his triumphant 2016 with further misery when he takes on Milos Raonic in Saturday’s third-place decider.
Murray, who lost just nine times in his 2016 campaign, was playing his first match since beating Novak Djokovic in November’s ATP World Tour Finals, and looked understandably rusty.
The Scot is likely to have one eye on next month’s Australian Open, a Grand Slam title that has eluded him, and the big-serving Raonic can take full advantage.
The Canadian lost in three sets to Rafael Nadal but there were plenty of positives to take from his performance and 9-4 is a price worth chancing.
Nadal is fancied to see off Goffin in Saturday's final but 1-4 is too short to get involved.
