Sunday preview

In a repeat of last year's final, Oval Invincibles and Southern Brave square up in The Hundred women's tournament on Sunday and it could be an explosive encounter in the capital.

The Invincibles defeated Brave by 48 runs in the final at Lord's last year and their power-packed top order showed their class in their opening match of the 2022 tournament against Northern Superchargers.

Wicketkeeper-batter Lauren Winfield-Hill put on an unbeaten 74 and new addition Suzie Bates of New Zealand added 46, giving the Invincibles an opening partnership of 120 against the Superchargers.

On her 18th birthday, Alice Capsey also impressed at three with 25 not out but that opening combination can inflict the most damage and they are worth a bet to have a higher opening partnership than Southern Brave.

Starting at the same time as that match (2.30pm), Northern Superchargers Men take on London Spirit at Headingley and batsman Adam Lyth could be in for another fine performance.

Lyth went for a duck against Trent Rockets but either side of that he struck 51 in the team's opener and 79 last time out and he could be a worthwhile bet to top-score for his side.
