Hobart Hurricanes have won their first three games of the Big Bash season but the table-toppers may have to share the limelight in Launceston with Cameron Bancroft of Perth Scorchers.

Bancroft's nine-month ban for his part in the ball-tampering scandal during Australia's Test series in South Africa ended on Saturday and the batsman is 7-2 to mark his return to competitive action by top-scoring for the Scorchers.

The Hurricanes chased down 194 to beat Sydney Thunder in Hobart last time out but there is limited course form for the Aurora Stadium in Launceston.

It may be worth taking a chance on Hobart spinner Clive Rose being named man of the match. The 25-1 shot opened the bowling in last season's game against the Thunder at the venue, claiming 2-20 off four overs including the prize wicket of Jos Buttler for 67.

The bespectacled left-armer also put the squeeze on the Sydney side on Friday, dismissing classy pair Callum Ferguson and Joe Root and returning the best economy rate of any bowler in the match.

Recommendation
C Rose to be man of the match
1pt 25-1 general
