Southern Brave v Trent Rockets preview

Highflying Trent Rockets became the first team to defeat London Spirit in this year's Men's Hundred on Saturday and they should sniff blood when they take on struggling champions Southern Brave.

Rockets have won five of their opening six matches in The Hundred this year, whereas their opponents Brave picked up only their second win of the tournament against Welsh Fire on Monday.

In their latest win over Spirit, one of the stars of the show for the Rockets was spinner Rashid Khan, who took 3-25 upon his return from international duty with Afghanistan.

Unfortunately for the Rockets, it was only a flying visit from Khan, who will now link back up with Afghanistan for the Asia Cup but they still have some dangerous bowlers in their ranks.

Luke Wood took 2-23 in his side's latest win, taking his wickets total to eight in The Hundred, and he is worth a bet to claim a couple of scalps against Brave.

In the Women's Hundred, meanwhile, Southern Brave have been irrepressible, chalking up four straight wins, and they are a decent odds-on selection against Trent Rockets.

Top-order trio Danni Wyatt, Smriti Mandhana and Sophia Dunkley have exceeded expectations this year, scoring a combined 368 runs for Brave.

That firepower at the crease can help them to a fifth consecutive victory. Trent Rockets have lost two of their last three assignments.
