The West Indies' defence of their T20 World Cup crown got off to a shocking start as they were bowled out for just 55 on their way to a six-wicket defeat to England.

The Windies' destructive power-hitting helped them win two of the last three Twenty20 titles but the early signs are that pitches in the UAE require more finesse from batsmen.

The 2016 champions struggled against England's fast bowlers and spinners in Dubai and it may be a similar story against South Africa's classy bowling attack at the same venue.

Defending only 118-9 against Australia in their first game, the Proteas were on top after reducing the Aussies to 81-5 before Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis saw them over the line with two balls to spare.

South Africa won 3-2 in June's Twenty20 series against the West Indies in the Caribbean and they are worth backing to bounce back from their narrow opening defeat.
