Rajasthan v Delhi: Monday's IPL cricket betting preview, tips & TV details
Jofra Archer is the Royals' top wicket-taker
TV: BT Sport 3 & Star Gold, 3.30pm Monday
Rajasthan Royals won their first match after removing Ajinkya Rahane as captain and replacing him with Steve Smith but it will be tough for them to take down a Delhi Capitals team with four wins from their last five Indian Premier League matches.
The Royals triumphed by five wickets against Mumbai in Jaipur, the new captain played a starring role with an unbeaten 59, but they remain outsiders against the Capitals and any more slip-ups will almost certainly put an end to their challenge.
Delhi, on the other hand, are in the mix for IPL glory and have picked up away victories in Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad thanks in part to a stacked all-Indian top order featuring Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and captain Shreyas Iyer.
However, the Capitals could struggle to get to grips with the Jaipur pitch, which has played slowly throughout the IPL campaign and tends to favour spin bowling.
Jofra Archer is Rajasthan's top wicket-taker this season but Indian leggie Shreyas Gopal looks worth backing to take the most Delhi scalps.
The 25-year-old has spun his way to ten IPL wickets this season and his form in Jaipur is particularly eye-catching. He has taken seven wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium including 2-21 against Mumbai on Saturday.
Archer, in contrast, has 11 wickets this season but only three of them have come at home and bookmakers who have him as favourite to be the top Rajasthan wicket-taker could be mistaken.
Recommendation
S Gopal top Rajasthan wicket-taker
