Match preview

There is not much that Virat Kohli has yet to achieve but winning the Indian Premier League is one accolade missing off his glittering CV.

Indian captain Kohli has announced he will step down as Bangalore skipper after this season and finally breaking his and the franchise's IPL duck will be high on his agenda in the next few weeks.

RCB are third in the table after ten games, four points adrift of the top two, with the first four in the regular season advancing to the playoffs.

An inconsistent Rajasthan Royals side are next up for Bangalore and they look a decent bet to further advance their top-four claims in Dubai.

The Royals became only the second side this season to be beaten by basement boys Hyderabad on Monday and their previous meeting with RCB resulted in a ten-wicket hiding inside 17 overs.

Having posted a competitive-looking 177-9, Rajasthan's attack were flogged to all parts by Kohli and opening partner Devdutt Paddikkal, who blasted an unbeaten century from just 52 balls.

If that duo are in the same mood it could be a long night for the Royals.
