New Zealand vs India prediction

New Zealand and India have already secured passage to the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy but they clash in Dubai on Sunday to determine the winner of Group A.

Both sides won their matches against Bangladesh and Pakistan, and New Zealand are just ahead thanks to their superior net run rate, but India are favourites to win this contest as they prepare to play at the same venue for the third game running.

The Dubai International Stadium is not the most welcoming for batsmen and the worn wicket will favour spinners, which India have in plentiful supply.

Seamer Mohammed Shami, who is set to feature despite injury concerns, took five wickets against Bangladesh but was costly and wicketless with figures of 0-43 against Pakistan.

With the wickets generally shared around India's bowlers so far, there is value to be had in their top wicket-taker market, where Ravindra Jadeja in particular looks overpriced.

Jadeja has taken just one wicket in the first two games of the Champions Trophy but has bowled tightly, posting an economy rate of 4.11 against Bangladesh.

Conditions will be conducive to his spin and he warmed up for this tournament with six wickets in two matches against England in February, so do not be surprised if he excels in Dubai.
