New Zealand could get revenge over Pakistan

Pakistan, the world’s number-one ranked T20 outfit, extended their winning sequence with a narrow two-run defeat of New Zealand on Wednesday but the Kiwis could exact their revenge in Dubai.

That match in Abu Dhabi was New Zealand's first of any kind in seven months but there was little sign of rustiness in their ranks and the Kiwis were made to rue letting Pakistan off the hook towards the end of their innings as the hosts scored 25 of their final two overs.

On the evidence of the first contest there is going to be little to separate the sides across all formats over the next couple of months and it could be the Kiwis who strike next in the second of three T20 clashes.
