Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Titans prediction

Two confident teams meet at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday and hosts Mumbai Indians are chasing a seventh straight victory in the IPL.

Mumbai face their bogey side, the Gujarat Titans, who have won four of the five meetings between the teams and are also going well in the race for playoff spots.

Gujarat's success has been based on the consistency of their top-order batting and three of their players – openers Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill and number three Jos Buttler – are among the top six runscorers this season.

Both teams are level on 14 points with three league fixtures remaining but Mumbai are on the charge, having recovered from a run of four defeats in their first five matches.

That stuttering start included a 36-run loss to Gujarat in Ahmedabad, where Sudharsan (63), Gill (38) and Buttler (39) all made significant contributions.

Suryakumar Yadav top-scored with 48 off 28 balls in Mumbai's reply and he is also in the hunt for the Orange Cap awarded to the IPL's leading runscorer.

India's T20 captain has been excellent this season, scoring at least 26 runs in each of his 11 innings. His last two knocks at the Wankhede Stadium were 68 not out off 30 balls against Chennai and 54 off 28 against Lucknow and he may well light up the Mumbai venue once again.
