Gujarat Titans are dreaming of a second IPL title after recording five wins from their opening seven matches and they will bid to further their hopes against struggling champions Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday.

The Titans head to Eden Gardens with their tails up following their most recent victory – by seven wickets against Punjab Kings on Saturday – when ex-England white-ball captain Jos Buttler steered them home with an unbeaten 97.

Top-order heroics have been the story of Gujarat's season and while Buttler and former Knight Rider Shubman Gill have produced some sparkling knocks, it's 23-year-old Sai Sudharsan who has been the main man with the bat.

Sudharsan scored 527 runs from 12 IPL innings last season and has picked up where he left off in the first half of the current campaign, firing 365 runs from seven innings at 52.14, leaving him well placed to challenge for the Orange Cap over the next month.

He is 5-2 to be the Titans' top batter but, given the quality around him, a better bet could be to back him to score fifty at 2-1.

The opener has struck four half-centuries in seven innings this year, plus a 49, and he's up against a Kolkata attack which has allowed two opening partnerships of more than 90 runs in three matches at Eden Gardens this season.
