Punjab Kings boosted their IPL playoff hopes with a 37-run win over Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday and they are aiming to follow up with another Dharamsala victory against Delhi Capitals.

Tensions between India and Pakistan have cast doubt over this game as Dharamsala is close to the disputed region of Kashmir and Punjab's weekend fixture against Mumbai Indians will now take place in Mumbai.

Delhi are still in the hunt for a top-four finish but their league position does not reflect the poor standard of their recent performances.

They have lost three of their last four completed matches and had a lucky escape against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday, when rain intervened after the Capitals had stumbled to 133-7.

Delhi crumbled to 29-5 in 7.1 overs and they have struggled against the new ball all season. While the Capitals have tried out six different opening combinations without success, Punjab's Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh shared stands of  44, 120, 42, 22, 39 and 66 in their last six games before the win over Lucknow.

Arya fell cheaply in that victory but Prabhsimran smashed a matchwinning 91 and ace fast bowler Arshdeep Singh reduced the Super Giants to 27-3 at the start of their run-chase.

Delhi Capitals top runscorer tip: Capitals captain may have to rebuild innings

The fragility of Delhi's top-order points to a small bet on Capitals captain Axar Patel to be his side's top runscorer. 

The India left-hander was involved in Monday's collapse against the Sunrisers but he made 43 in his previous appearance against Kolkata Knight Riders and top-scored with 39, batting at number four, in last month's defeat to Gujarat.
