Time is fast running out for Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad if they want to be involved in the IPL playoffs this season so their meeting on Friday is must-win for both.

The pair would probably have to win all of their six remaining games to make the top four, which seems fanciful considering they have won two apiece from eight attempts.

It makes picking a winner difficult and a bet in the runscorer markets could be a better approach.

Chennai's Shivam Dube had a quiet start to the season but he has started to hit his straps, scoring 42, 31 not out, 43 not out and 50 in his last four innings.

All have been scored at a rate much better than a run a ball and with Chennai's top four failing to fire with much regularity, Dube could get another chance to add to his run of impressive knocks.

Dube cracked an unbeaten 39 from just 20 balls and 45 from 24 in two meetings with Hyderabad last season, so the Sunrisers know only too well how destructive he can be when he gets his eye in.

At 11-2, he looks a decent price to underpin Chennai's batting card.
