Rising star Rishabh Pant's exclusion from India's World Cup squad has divided opinion but the Delhi batsman can show his national team what they are missing out on with a dynamic display against Mumbai.

The 21-year-old was left out in favour of Dinesh Karthik but continues to flex his runscoring muscle in the Indian Premier League.

Wicket-keeper batsman Pant fired a thrilling 46 against Kolkata Knight Riders after taking two catches and stumping Moeen Ali with the gloves away to Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Along with Mumbai, Delhi spearhead the Chennai Super Kings chasing pack and the winner of this tie will be in prime position to book a playoff spot.

Bookmakers rate Delhi 6-5 outsiders to take the spoils but they are better equipped at dealing with the low and slow wicket at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

Capitals bowler Kagiso Rabada has been in sparkling form with ten wickets in his last three matches, including figures of 4-21 against Bangalore in which he dislodged danger men Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.

Shreyas Iyer, meanwhile, represents their best threat with the bat but Pant could be a worthwhile punt to be man of the match, having upped his game behind the stumps and at the crease this term.

He registered more runs than any other Delhi batsman (64) in the corresponding fixture in 2018 and can emphasise his label as one of the competition's brightest young talents against the Indians.

Recommendation
Delhi Capitals
1pt 6-5 SkyBet
R Pant man of the match
1pt 12-1 Betway, Coral, Ladbrokes
