England are 4-7 to beat India in the Women’s World Cup final at a sold-out Lord’s but the tournament hosts won’t be taking anything for granted.

Heather Knight’s side lost their opening game of the league stage by 35 runs against the Indians, who pulled off another shock in the semi-finals by defeating 1-4 shots Australia.

The top England runscorer market is a competitive heat with Tammy Beaumont (381 runs), Knight (363) and Sarah Taylor (351) all enjoying prolific tournaments.

India captain Mithali Raj is favourite to top-score for her side but she was becalmed against Australia, scoring 36 off 61 balls as Harmanpreet Kaur went ballistic at the other end, smashing 171 not out from just 115 deliveries.

Opener Smriti Mandhana has had a string of low scores but at 5-1 it is worth chancing the youngster to recapture her form from the start of the World Cup.

She was player of the match against England after scoring 90 off 72 and she followed that innings with an unbeaten century against the West Indies.
