One-Day Cup kings Nottinghamshire are beginning to fly in pursuit of a top-four spot in the T20 Blast North Group but punters should be in no rush to back them at 8-15 to beat Leicestershire at Grace Road.

A wet and windy weather forecast suggests a disrupted or shortened affair and while the Foxes are floundering at present, they began their shortest-format campaign with four wins on the spin and would love to turn over their biggest rivals.

The Outlaws' one defeat in their last five completed games came against lowly Worcestershire the evening after winning cosily at Durham and there could be after-effects from the adrenaline rush of Sunday's sensational success over Yorkshire. The Vikings made 223-5 at Trent Bridge and Dan Christian's charges chased it down with five balls to spare.

As at Lord's at the start of last month, Alex Hales was star of the show on Sunday with a quickfire century and the England limited-overs opener is worth a wager at 11-4 to top-score again for Notts.

There have been a few 20-over failures in recent weeks, conditions should help seam and swing bowlers and there are other in-form Outlaws batsmen, but Hales has also claimed these honours with 63 against Worcestershire, 30 not out against Northants and 47 at Headingley. He was also edged out when making 44 against Durham.
