Glamorgan v Somerset
Sky Sports 2, 7pm Saturday
Matthew Maynard is a Glamorgan legend but he returns to Cardiff as coach of a Somerset side badly needing a positive result in the T20 Blast.

Their top-order batsmen failed to fire in defeats to Surrey and Essex and, after Thursday's game at Chelmsford, Maynard admitted: "I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about it".

Corey Anderson's 81 against Surrey is Somerset's only individual score of note in their first two games and the New Zealander missed the clash with Essex because of back spasms.

He will be assessed shortly before the start at Cardiff and if he isn't passed fit it would be a big blow to a Somerset side short on confidence.

Glamorgan gained a morale-boosting victory over Sussex last time out at Arundel, where former South Africa international Colin Ingram starring with a century off 46 balls and 2-27 from his four overs of leg spin.

There are clean hitters throughout the Glamorgan batting line-up and the hosts also have a hugely experienced bowling attack.

Internationals Marchant de Lange (South Africa) and Timm van der Gugten (Holland) share the new ball and Australia veteran Michael Hogan showed his class with 2-22 off four overs to subdue a dangerous Sussex top order.

The Welsh side finished second in the South Group last summer - 12 points above rock-bottom Somerset - and they shouldn't be underrated in the Twenty20 competition.
