Preview

Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore have all booked their spots in this year's Indian Premier League playoffs and the battle for the final berth commences on Thursday.

The remaining playoff position could go to either Punjab Kings, who face Chennai in their last regular-season contest and must hope results go their way, Mumbai Indians or Kolkata Knight Riders, who face Rajasthan Royals in their final fixture in Sharjah.

And the Knight Riders are well-fancied to get the job done with four of their six IPL wins in 2021 having come since the franchise competition's resumption in September.

They are in terrific form, having destroyed Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets last time out, and they should see off Rajasthan Royals, who have never really recovered since losing Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes for the second phase of the season.

They have lost four of their last five games and are worth opposing.
