Preview

For the first time in Indian Premier League history, Chennai Super Kings have started a season with four straight defeats and that run could be extended to five by Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The Super Kings' confidence looks seriously damaged right now and an eight-wicket defeat to the inconsistent Sunrisers Hyderabad last time out emphasised that all is not well in the Chennai camp.

Last season's star batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad has been struggling for runs and they seem to be missing former talisman Faf du Plessis, who is now opening the batting for opponents Bangalore.

And although the South African's scores have not been that noteworthy, he has laid the foundations for some strong performances from his Bangalore teammates.

The Royal Challengers have won three matches on the spin, beating decent Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians units, and they are worth chancing at a shade of odds-on to come up trumps at the DY Patil Stadium.
