Brisbane Heat v Perth Scorchers preview

Perth Scorchers have been living up to their name in this year’s Big Bash League, winning six of their opening eight matches to challenge at the top of the table.

The same cannot be said of their opponents Brisbane Heat, who have won just two of their eight games including a seven-wicket defeat at the hands of the Scorchers last time out.

The bowling efforts of Perth’s attack have been crucial, with Andrew Tye, Jhye Richardson and Jason Behrendorff taking 43 wickets between them.

Richardson will miss this game through injury and Tye looks likely to pick up the slack in his absence.

The veteran bowler has taken at least three wickets in three of his last five appearances, including figures of 3-37 against these opponents last time out, and is fancied to be the Scorchers’ top wicket-taker in this match.
