An inexperienced Sri Lanka side shocked hosts Pakistan by winning this month's Twenty20 series 3-0 but the Lankans are as big as 100-30 to upset Australia in Adelaide.

Big names including Lasith Malinga, Kusal Perera and Niroshan Dickwella are back after missing the tour of Pakistan although Australia also have some returning stars in their ranks.

Steve Smith and David Warner are set to play their first home international matches since serving 12-month bans for ball-tampering and Smith is in line for a first T20 international appearance since 2016.

Warner is a master of the shortest format, as he proved when finishing top runscorer at the IPL in his first tournament after the end of his suspension.

He had a miserable Ashes series in England but made an impressive century for New South Wales in his first innings of the Sheffield Shield season. The opener has a solid white-ball record at the Adelaide Oval, where he smashed a career-best 179 in a 2017 ODI against Pakistan.
