Australia acquitted themselves well for long periods in the two-Test series with Pakistan in the UAE and bookmakers expect them to push their nominal hosts in their three T20 meetings.

After a limited-overs mauling in England in June, Aaron Finch's outfit lost their battles with Pakistan 2-1 in a T20 tri-series in Zimbabwe but they warmed up handily with a convincing win over the UAE at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Monday.

Andrew Tye is value to be Australia's top wicket-taker in game one in Abu Dhabi.

He was the leading bowler in the Zimbabwe tri-series with 12 scalps and has ticked over tidily for Western Australia recently with 18 victims in five 50-over games including a haul of 6-46.

Virat Kohli needs 81 for 10,000 ODI runs and it would be no surprise if he reached the landmark with a ton against the West indies in Visakhapatnam.

His current purple patch continued with 140 in Sunday's first ODI stroll in Guwahati and he has smacked two tons, 99 and 65 in four ODI knocks at the ACA-VDCA Stadium. Take Ladbrokes' evens about him scoring a fifty.
